WC slab day

WC slab day

The water content of the slab can be controlled to the target level in the Season Dynamics using the Daily Dynamics in the Cultilene Framework.

After initial saturation and drainage slits cut all slabs will be at about 85% water content. So once planted and the roots start to use the water and nutrients in the slab this water content will start to drop.

In low light conditions it is good to have a lower water content so that the plant needs to take less water to get a good drop in water content to allow oxygen into the slab and a generative pulse on the crop.

In higher light conditions and mature crops it is better to steer the water content higher to give more water buffer and a vegetative action.
