Spacing

After approx. 9 days the plants are ready to be spaced. In wintertime the density is normally 18 – 20 plants per m² and in summertime it is around 14 – 16 plants per m².

• Watering: if it is possible, irrigate after spacing. Irrigating before spacing is difficult to ensure that every plant receives the same amount of water.
• Canes are supporting the plant: canes are put in usually before or during spacing to minimize damage. Canes can be placed in any corner of a cube, but best next to the stem.
