It is important to let the slab dry back at night to let oxygen back into the slab.
The amount of this dry-back should be varied according to the stage of the crop as it a generative action. When the crop is generative because of high light levels and / or high fruit load, the amount of dry back should be less.
The speed of dry-back is also important and related to climate and also the volume of substrate used per square meter.
What is important is to think of this as an important tool that should be known, recorded and used. Recommended levels are shown in the Season Dynamics table.
