The slab

The slab

It is always good to check that the current slab dimensions used are optimal in terms of dimensions, plant spacing, plant and head density and substrate volume.

Using standard dimensions can also help to keep cost down as production for us is more efficient.

  • plant holes evenly spaced for optimal water distribution;
  • one plant per cube with one dripper per cube for optimal water distribution;
  • drainage hole at ends and between each plant on both sides for optimal water distribution;
  • plant density is the number of plants per slab x the number of slabs per row x number of rows per bay;
  • extra heads taken per slab to keep water uptake per slab the same.
