Dose size
The amount of water applied at each watering influences the characteristics of the substrate. This is the dose size and this should be related to the volume of substrate that each dripper supplies.
Dose size optimal - good water distribution and flushing of EC build-up.
Dose size too small - water is taken from the top of the slab, insufficient flushing and EC build up.
Dose size too big - pushing water down and not sideways creating uneven water and EC distribution.
